Here's what professional illustrator and workshop participant, Susan Gallagher, had to say about the Brian O'Connor workshop (Summer, 2001) in a letter to the director of the
Athanaeum School of the Arts, San Diego, CA. What an incredible opportunity it has been to study with someone of his caliber and expertise. The course was designed with such insight and intelligence, that, for those of us who call ourselves "serious painters", the experience has been no less than life altering. and ... the breadth of what we were able to cover in five days was extraordinarily comprehensive, spanning the technological to the conceptual. And in every case he was able to articulate the intricate psychology of painting, a vast array of visual principles, and a wealth of his own experience with absolute clarity. Kinda puts the pressure on for the next one, doesn't it?
